Big Sur & Henry Miller

This was really my first book into modern reading and eventually into writing.   They each set in motion more than I realized at the time.   Both for my sense of nature and sense of language.
Miller’s non-fiction writing felt like home to me, although it would be decades before finding out what that meant for me.   I’ve a sense about writing poems I’m not dismissive about, however more-into-prose is when I feel I’ve said what I want to say.   Maybe some blend of the two, or so I’d like to think.
